Frequently asked questions

How should my cake be stored?

Upon delivery, ideally your cake should be stored in a cool aircon room, away from any heat source or direct sunlight. Buttercream cakes are able to be stored in the fridge. Fondant cakes should never be popped into the fridge as they will condensate and sweat.
Cakes should be consumed within 24hrs from delivery. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for more info, we will send these through with your invoice.

Do you offer delivery?

Yes, we do, pending our current delivery schedule, please ask us for a quote and availability Delivery fees - $55 within Wollongong locale | quoted from $120 all other areas We deliver from northern Illawarra suburbs, down to the Shoalhaven and as far as Bowral & Kangaroo Valley NSW Some styles of cakes, namely tiered designs must be delivered and possibly even setup on location, upon delivery.

How do I book my event with you?

Of course, we're super friendly and love cake, so any cakey chatting is always invited...

We love email - and phone.. if you must- we do work majority of our consultations this way, please feel free to get in touch via willowgeorgecake@gmail.com Or use our online enquiry form

Start by getting into contact with us, to speed things along, let us know the following details

- Event date

- Number of serves required

- Serving size

- Location, for delivery costs

- Style or theme of your event

Also, if you have a budget in mind, this totally isn't taboo to tell us - it actually helps immensely and gives us a more focused design/style brief to work with.

With these details we can then discuss your upcoming event and cake design, we can then pop you through an estimate. All designs and estimates are 100% flexible, until final designs are approved by you.

If, you love our ethos, our passion and our estimate is within your budget and you would like to go ahead, then we will pop you through an invoice; we do require 50% deposit or $200 ‘holding’ deposit to lock in your event date (both deposits are non refundable and are deducted from your final estimate)

For larger more detailed cakes we will provide sketches of your design, this will only happen once you have secured your event date with a deposit.

For bookings made with less than three weeks notice, payment must be made in full to confirm your order. No dilly dallying as we work on first in basis, we take on a very limited number of orders each week and dates do fill fast ❤

Our precious ingredients

Ahhh.. the big question! We bake from scratch recipes - we feel this sets us apart, you won't find any commercial mixes and all our flavours are natural. We LOVE old school recipes and traditional methods - some of our cakes are even stirred by hand.. (yep.. I know but it just tastes better!) We use butter, real aussie butter, no shortenings or chemicals are in our cakes and icings, we use beautiful local cream and milk from our own region of Berry, NSW. Our eggs are also sourced and produced locally on better than Free Range pastures, from a loving family farm - it’s so worth it to support small and local. You can get a feel for the ingredients we use through our Instagram stories towards the end of each week.
You can check out our flavours here we offer an extensive menu of beautiful cakes & fillings This isn't to say we won’t custom create flavours for you, we have done on numerous occasions, there is a fee from $35 for custom flavours

Our cakes are our passion, they are of high quality, meticulous attention to detail and hours upon hours of work - from our ingredients, to our finished product - and our prices do reflect this.

Pricing is based individually on the design/style you’re after, we personally love working with all mediums - buttercream cakes are beautiful and lusciously moreish, chocolate ganache is rich, dense and decadent, our fondant cakes are seamless and formal, the latter two options, do require more costs and labour, which does make them more pricey.

Of course, we can create beautiful details and sugar flowers which are charged on an hourly basis.

Do you offer cake tastings?

No, sorry at this current time we don’t offer tastings – sorry! But for the moment I can’t take on any extra work, if your keen to try the quality of our products, brown sugar espresso in Mangerton stock our products weekly on a Saturday (I would pop in early)
